Bologna - Day 13

Bologna - Day 13 - Sunday - Pizza day for us!  We saw a few pizza shops  during our wanderings the last couple of weeks that had crowds around them, so we decided to taste-test ourselves.  The first place had thick crust pizza that was incredibly good.

Thick crust sausage and cheese pizza served on plain newspaper squares.

13:2PizzaTwo.jpg

Lynn's polenta and cheese pizza -- what a combo and so good.

The second pizza place we tried - near the two towers - had a thinner crust and was just as good.

Looks like they deliver!

13:3ThreePieces.jpg

Sausage and cheese, salami and cheese and margarita -- all served on a huge round cutting board.

We wandered about town again in the open boulevards and saw a new duo of street musicians.

Wandered some of the back alley-way streets and found an enclosed garden.

Then off to the gelato shop (yes, again -- you do know that we’re leaving soon, right?).

13:9GelatoA.jpg

Allan's - double chocolate and strachitelli.

13:9GelatoB.jpg

Gelato "selfie" - pistachio and coffee.

After finishing the gelato, headed back to the apartment  and came upon yet another group of musicians -- these playing Cuban music.  What fun with the crowd really getting into it.
